To this point, we've been considered an artificial intelligence (AI) organization because of our products - Copilot, and a bunch of models accessible through Platform & Secton API. And frankly speaking, that's not who we want to be.
We're permanently shutting down Copilot, Secton Platform, and Secton API. These products might have provided value to some of you out there, and we learned a ton, but they certainly don't reflect what we want to spend our time on; this isn't the future we want for the company.
Why the Change
Secton first started as yet another tech startup. Not an AI facade. We aimed to provide real solutions that face real issues that real developers tinker with. At some point, AI boom happened and took over the narrative. Exciting stuff, sure. But it sure did shift our attention away from what we are passionate about.
What's Happening

The services listed above will begin shutting down on November 19, 2025 and will fully wind down over the following weeks

The API will remain operational until December 19, 2025 to give teams time to transition

Your data will remain accessible until December 19, 2025, after which it will be permanently deleted

All customers will receive multiple notices during this period
Copilot and especially Platform were very ambitious projects that we learned an enormous amount from. However, we feel that we've evolved beyond the point of being honest with ourselves and our users if we kept these products front and center.
We understand that some people might've liked these, so we're keeping things around long enough to transition.
What Secton Is Now
Tech-first, not AI-first! We're back to just building tech we care about. Maybe that'll turn into a product, maybe not. We don't know exactly what we're doing yet, and we like it that way.
